There are many options available when it comes to selling your products. The most popular ones are eBay, Amazon and Shopify. These are the three most common choices, and each has its own advantages and disadvantages. But which one is right for you?
Payment options
If you’re an Australian Shopify merchant, you have several payment options available to you. This includes the ability to receive payments in different currencies, as well as support for popular payment methods. You can also export information from your transactions and submit tax claims.
For payments to go through, you’ll need a bank account that’s eligible for Shopify Payments. Shopify will automatically configure your merchant account to work with most countries. It supports Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Bancontact. The system can be configured to send funds within 24 to 72 hours. However, you may be required to report sales to the local tax authorities. Some merchants are prohibited from using this service.
Shopify also offers an invoice for your transactions. This is generated on the fifth of the following month, and you can submit tax claims if you have them. In some cases, your customer will be contacted by Shopify to provide more information. Once you provide the information, you can then export your transactions in a CSV file. This will then be loaded into a browser.
